Go read this essay/slideshow in Slate, in which Jack Shafer examines the proliferation of TV-news blondes.
Make sure you read all the way to the end, where you can find out exactly what Shafer characterizes as resembling "a pair of oily, red eels mating angrily."
Very enlightening. Ha! Get it?
