R.I.P. Nam June Paik. He was the first -- and one of the most incisive and thought-provoking -- video artist around.
I believe I have seen one of Mr. Paik's pieces at the Hischhorn museum in Washington.
I wish I had met him in person.

Yeah, me too -- he seemed like a really neat guy.
There are indeed some of his works at the Hirschhorn. I've also seen 'em at MoMA, American Museum of the Moving Image, and a few other places.
