Poor, poor Antonin Scalia.
The guy didn't want to steal the 2000 election for Bush, but that rascal Gore just dragged him into it, and he just had to.
What's a mere Associate Justice to do?
(N.B.: Pointing to news organization studies showing that Bush would have won a recount is, well, disingenuous at best. Those studies didn't come out until after Bush v. Gore was decided, after all...and don't forget that the SCOTUS decision had the effect of stopping the recounts. What was so bloody hard about counting all the votes?)
Unbelievable.

Gore didn't want a recount of all the votes, he wanted a recount of only the votes in the black counties.
Come on man, you know better.

Actually, no. Gore requested manual recounts in four counties: Volusia (86% white, 9% black), Palm Beach (79% white, 14% black), Miami-Dade (70% white, 29% black), and Broward (71% white, 21% black.)
Bush, on the other hand, didn't want the votes to be counted.

(As evinced by the rent-a-thug riot in Miami and the "spontaneous" protesters bussed in to Ft. Lauderdale.)

I meant Democratic counties.
Sorry 'bout that. That'll teach me to try and comment in the middle of Nanowrimo.
Jeez.
