One reason I haven't posted in some time is that I took a long weekend (along with Chico, Justin and his wife Heather, and -- briefly -- my parents) and went to "the Rivah"...my parents' place on the Rappahannock River in eastern Virginia near the Chesapeake Bay. It's pastoral and bucolic and peaceful and utterly quiet, with great views and easy access to superlative crab cakes...what else could you want?
Alas, B. couldn't join us, and the weekend was, as they always are, all too brief. I'll post more pictures when I can, and having to have my camera mailed to me from Newport News (where I left it in the rental car's trunk) won't exactly help with that.
Oooh, I didn't know about your camera missing. That is teh suxors.
That was among the most wonderfulest weekends I've had in a long time. I encourage all readers of this blog to befriend Mr. Iot and wangle, finagle and/or cadge an excursion to this place.
And if the screens aren't fixed by the next time I'm up there, so help me I'll do them myself.

Actually, I figured I'd left it in your bag, but couldn't call you 'cause you were out at the opry. So I called Avis to make sure, and they called me back around 11. No big deal -- they have it and were super-cool, and they'll mail it back soon.
